Payment Terms

Payment at Shadanatex Bangladesh follows each order. Quotations are prepared against your specification, payment is made by bank transfer in stages under the order agreement, and every order is covered by a proforma invoice stating its price, currency and terms.

Shadanatex Bangladesh produces garments to order for buyers in many markets. Because every order is made against a buyer's own specification, payment follows the order itself: each order has its own quotation, its own proforma invoice and its own agreed terms. This page explains how quotations are prepared, how payment is made, how staged payment works, which documents you receive, and when production starts.

Quotations Are Prepared for Each Order

We do not publish fixed prices, because the price of a garment depends on the order. When you send a specification, we prepare a quotation for that order based on the garment style, fabric, sizes, quantities, print or embroidery work, labelling, packing and delivery terms in the specification. The quotation covers the order and specification it was prepared against. If the specification changes, for example a different fabric, added embroidery or a changed quantity, we update the quotation so the price always matches the work agreed. Nothing is charged beyond the agreed quotation and proforma invoice for that order, and any change is confirmed with you in writing before production begins.

How Payment Is Made

Payment is made by bank transfer, also called telegraphic transfer, to the bank account named on the proforma invoice for your order. Bank transfer gives both sides a clear record of every payment against the order. If you need a different payment method for a particular order, that method must be agreed with us in writing for that order before production starts; without written agreement, bank transfer is the payment method that applies. Please use your order reference in the transfer details, so we can match the payment to your order as soon as it arrives.

Staged Payment Under the Order Agreement

Payment for an order is staged, following the order agreement and the proforma invoice for that order:

  • An advance payment is made before production, so materials and factory time can be committed to your order.
  • The balance is paid before shipment of the finished goods, as set out in the order agreement.

The amount of each stage is stated in the proforma invoice for the order. The stages reflect the way made to order production works: fabric and trims are bought and cut for your specification, so the advance secures your place in production, and the balance completes the order before the goods leave. If a staged payment is delayed, production or shipment timing may move with it, and we will tell you promptly so dates can be rearranged honestly.

Proforma Invoice and Order Documents

Each confirmed order is covered by a proforma invoice that states the goods, quantities, price, currency, payment stages and agreed terms for that order. The proforma invoice is the document to pay against, and its reference should appear on every transfer. For shipment, the order is accompanied by the commercial documents agreed for the order, such as the commercial invoice and packing list, prepared from the confirmed order details. Check the proforma invoice carefully when you receive it. If any detail, such as the delivery address, bank details or goods description, does not match what you agreed, tell us before making payment so the document can be corrected.

Bank Charges and Currency

The currency for an order is stated on its proforma invoice, and payment is made in that currency. Each side covers its own bank charges: you cover the charges of your bank and any intermediary your bank uses, and we cover the charges of our bank, unless a different arrangement is agreed in writing for the order. Paying the full invoiced amount, with your own bank charges on your side, avoids short payments that would otherwise need a further transfer to complete the agreed stage.

When Production Starts

Production of an order starts after two things are in place: the agreed advance payment has been received, and the approvals for the order are complete, including the approved pre-production sample and the confirmed specification. This sequence protects both sides. It means the factory commits fabric, trims and production capacity to an order that is fully confirmed, and it means you know production only begins on the specification and sample you approved. If approvals change after production has started, the change and its effect on price and timing are agreed in writing before the changed work proceeds.
